Melton Carnegie Museum Foxhunting: Past, Present, Future Project – Online Resources

Sara created balanced and impartial on-line resources for Key Stage 2, 3 and 4 for the Foxhunting: Past, Present, Future project. The education pages of the website have been successful in gaining accreditation by Curriculum Online.

The learning resources were designed to be used in conjunction with a virtual collection of oral history interviews, documents and sources exploring the implications of the 2004 Hunting Act. Sara selected items for the digital resource from the Museum’s collection, Leicestershire County Council Heritage Services’ repository as well as the Archives of the Countryside Alliance and International Fund for Animal Welfare.

Sara also developed additional online resources for Key Stage 2 pupils exploring links to the PSHE curriculum, based on the historical board game, Fox and Geese, and the portrayal of the fox in Aesop’s fables.

Sara’s involvement was dynamic throughout the whole project with her clear communication ensuring the resources were completed to time, budget and exceeded our expectations. The project has benefited from Sara’s hard work and commitment and it was a pleasure to work with her.
