Mair Education: learning for life.

Bromley Museum - Research and creation of online resources and Cd-Rom

Sara recently created digital resources as part of ‘Bromley’s Hidden History’ project including a touring exhibition. The project remembers slavery and commemorates the 200 year anniversary of the first Abolition of the Slave Trade Act in 1807 and explores Bromley’s historic connections with slavery and its abolition.

The resources are aimed at Key Stage 3 pupils studying History and Citizenship but also contain cross curricular links to English, Drama, Religious Education and Geography. Using a range of source based documents, maps and images they provide an opportunity to examine slavery and the abolition movement from a local perspective.

“Thanks for this and thank you so much for all your hard work on the project. It has been a real pleasure working with you.”

Ian Dodds, Development Manager, London Borough of Bromley, Library, Archive & Museum Service
